Chicago summer jobs program now open

Registration is now open for a local program that helps young adults get summer jobs.

Cook County Board President Toni Preckwinkle and Chicago Mayor Rahm Emanuel made the announcement Monday.

More than 18,000 Chicagoans ages 16 to 24 will be able to get jobs this summer.

Those interested can register through the City of Chicago's website.

Registration is open till May 31.
