Severe Thunderstorm Warning for Porter Co, Ind.

A tornado watch was issued at 4:35 p.m. and remains in effect until 1 a.m. Thursday for several counties in Indiana: Benton; Boone; Carroll; Cass; Clinton; Fountain; Fulton; Howard; Jasper; Kosciusko; Marshall; Miami; Montgomery; Newton; Parke; Pulaski; Starke; Tippecanoe; Tipton; Vermillion; Warren; White.

A strong thunderstorm bringing heavy rains, lightning and hail blew through parts of the Chicago area Wednesday. A severe thunderstorm watch is in effect until 5 p.m. for much of northern Illinois, including the following counties: Boone; Bureau; Carroll; Cook; De Kalb; DuPage; Fulton; Grundy; Hancock; Henderson; Henry; Jo Daviess; Kane; Kankakee; Kendall; Knox; La Salle; Lake; Lee; Livingston; Marshall; McDonough; McHenry; Mercer; Ogle; Peoria; Putnam; Rock Island; Stark; Stephenson; Tazewell; Warren; Whiteside; Will; Winnebago; and Woodford.

Even after the watch expires, the rain will continue.

"We're not done with the rain," ABC7's Tracy Butler said. "Heavy rain is especially going to be with us tomorrow."
