The northwest Indiana mother whose leg was severely injured in the Boston bombings says she looks forward to walking again after at least one more round of surgery.

Beth Roche of Highland, Indiana, was injured during the blasts.

"As long as I'm strong, as long as I can handle the meds right now, and if I feel like I'm on the right track, mentally and physically like that, then I can handle anything," Roche said.

Roche was standing near the finish line watching her daughter Rebecca finish the Boston Marathon when she was hit by shrapnel.

Rebecca stayed with her through her first surgery. The two were later featured on the "Katie" show.
