If you don't get up as early as the farmers, bakers and other vendors at Chicago Farmers Markets, it no longer means you'll miss out on their goods. The city is launching two new night markets in Uptown and Logan Square during the 2013 Chicago Farmers Market season.
The Logan Square Night Market, located at the Logan Square Blue Line station at Kedzie and Milwaukee, runs June 26-September 4 from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m.; the Argyle Night Market, located at Argyle and Broadway, runs June 27-September 19 from 4 to 8 p.m.
The night markets will include live performances and arts and crafts, and partnerships with local artisans and local restaurants.
Also new this year: the Devon Community Monthly Market, located at 2720 W. Devon, on July 7; August 4; September 1, October 6 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
The official kick-off for the city-run Chicago Farmers Markets is May 16 at Daley Plaza in downtown Chicago, where vendors sell fresh fruits, vegetables, plants and flowers from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. every Thursday until October 24, 2013.
