CTA train security changes on the way

The CTA is changing its security operations on train platforms and subway stations.

The transit agency had been employing 450 private security guards to patrol those facilities. The CTA is now phasing out those private firms and replacing them with its own customer service workers.

CTA President Forrest Claypool says the change will allow the transit agency to provide better customer service for passengers.
