The recommendations come after hearing officers attended meetings for each of the 54 schools slated to close or consolidate.
The school board votes on the final list of closings May 22.
This afternoon CPS CEO Barbara Byrd-Bennett issued this statement:
"Hearing officer reports provide information that the Board of Education can use as part of a thorough review before its scheduled vote on May 22. We are grateful for the work and dedication hearing officers have brought to this process."
The final recommendations for Chicago Public School closings will be posted online by the end of the day on Tuesday.
