A federal judge approved a $40 million class-action settlement between sketchers and consumers who bought toning shoes. Sketchers was accused of making unfounded claims in ads that the shoes would help people lose weight and strengthen muscles.
Consumers will get between $40 and $84 depending on how much they paid for the shoes.
