The 32-year-old Triplett stands accused of sexually assaulting and murdering 23-year-old Ursula Sakowska in her Southwest Side home in 2006 while he was working as a cable TV repairman.
At trial, prosecutors also presented evidence that Triplett was allegedly involved in another similar attack, the murder of Janet Ordidge in Hyde Park, around the same time.
