"Scandal" is based loosely on Washington-based image fixer Judy Smith whose clients have included Monica Lewinsky and Jesse Jackson Jr.
Kerry Washington stars as Olivia Pope, Smith's alter ego. Her right hand man is Harrison Wright played by Columbus Short.
