CTA: Orange Line service resumes in both directions after deadly accident

May 17, 2013 (CHICAGO)

Authorities say the victim was moving between cars and ended up on the track on the Orange Line near the 2500-block of South Archer. It is not known how the victim ended up on the tracks.

Orange Line trains were stopped for around 2 hours on Friday afternoon. The incident occured between Canal and Halsted.

The CTA is still reporting some residual delays on the Orange Line.

The CTA said it was able to move passengers to the last two cars on the train and that they were able to exit through the Halsted station.
