Cook Co. Sheriff's Office to handle Dolton corruption

May 31, 2013 (CHICAGO)

The village is facing allegations of corruption including ghost payrolling.

Dolton's new mayor Riley Rogers says he asked for Cook Co. Sheriff Tom Dart's help.

"Local corruption, where do people have to go where can they go? They have nowhere to go in Dolton, they're going to have a place to go," Dart said.

Dolton residents will be able to call or e-mail the sheriff's office to report corruption.

Rogers says it's a new day in Dolton with this move.
