North Riverside Park Mall is implementing what it calls a "youth escort policy" that will take effect Friday evening.
After 6 p.m. on Friday and Saturday, anyone 17-years-old and younger must be accompanied by an adult.
Anyone who is alone and appears to be under 17 may be asked to show identification.
Mall officials say this is a way of ensuring that everyone has what they call a safe and enjoyable shopping experience.
