Chicago police say it all began at approximately 11 p.m. Sunday with a driver trying to flee the scene of a minor fender bender at 67th Street and Indiana. That driver then crashed into a van full of people at 67th and State streets.
Six people were taken to two different hospitals. The fleeing driver, a man, was among those hurt.
Charges were pending against that man Monday.
