Number of young Americans without credit cards increases

The number of adults under the age of 29 who do not have a credit card has doubled since the recession.

Research by a credit score provider says 16 percent of those between ages 18 and 29 have been without a credit card since the end of 2012.

Credit card debt has dropped by about a third among that age group.
