The disability advocacy group "Open Doors Organization" will overhaul the city's centralized dispatch for wheelchair accessible cabs.
The city council approved the new contract Wednesday.
As part of the new system, passengers will be able to use a mobile app on smartphones or tablets to hail the closest wheelchair accessible taxi based on GPS signals.
