Chopper7HD was over the scene of the northbound lanes of I-55 near Lorenzo Road. Police say the accident involves three semi-trucks and three other vehicles. This is just south of a construction zone on I-55.
One person suffered serious injuries and has been transported to a hospital via a medical helicopter. Traffic is being diverted from northbound I-55 to River Road East to Route 53.
