A coalition of protesters made up of DePaul University students protested today against using tax increment financing, or TIF money, to help build the school a new sports arena.

The group from 'Grassroots Collaborative' delivered 3,000 signatures from Chicago residents to the mayor's office at city hall.

In May, Mayor Rahm Emanuel announced a plan to build a 10,000-seat arena near McCormick Place financed in part by $55 million in tax-increment financing.
