Speaking Tuesday, the mayor says the idea represents a potential compromise between the team's owners and the owners of some of the rooftop terraces who are worried about planned stadium renovations leaving their views obstructed.
"What I'd note - and I thought was interesting given the usual rift that exists between the Ricketts and the rooftops - here's the one idea that the two of them agree on - which stood out," Emanuel said.
The mayor says the deck proposal would be subject to a community approval process led by Alderman Tom Tunney.
