The village wants it closed because of what officials call structural, fire and safety code violations.
Late Thursday afternoon, a judge ordered the owner of the mall to give control to a receiver to handle day-to-day operations and repairs.
The owner provided $100,000 for the fix-up efforts.
Village officials say they are pleased with the ruling and happy repairs will be completed.
