The Jasper County Coronor has released the names of the deceased. Those killed in the accident are Amado Mangual, 49, of Merrillville, Ind.; Lindsey Williams, 27, of Merrillville, Ind.; Yazmin Goldman, 5, of Merillville, Ind.; Arielle Goldman, 3, of Merrillville, Ind.; Jamin Osborne, 5, of Atlanta, Ga.; Jasmin Osborne, 7, of Atlanta, Ga.; and Yvette Williams, 35, of Atlanta, Ga.
The accident occured at the 231 milemarker near State Road 10.
All lanes were reopened around 6:30 a.m. Friday. Authorities expect to have lanes open by 6 a.m.
Two truck drivers suffered minor injuries. A Jeep Cherokee was pinned between two semis and caught fire in the crash near Demotte in Jasper County late Thursday night.
Police say the three vehicles experienced a pileup as they suddenly stopped for a construction zone.
Alcohol is not suspected as being a cause of the crash.
