The woman was sprayed while walking past the Ann Sather's restaurant on Belmont near Sheffield.
Investigators say the woman was walking down the street about 9:30 Wednesday morning when a woman in her 20s sprayed her and tried to steal her phone.
The victim suffered minor injuries. The would-be robber ran away without the phone.
