An Indiana man who fancies himself an amateur paleontologist has made a fossil find that could wind up in the Smithsonian Institute.

Mark Tarner was digging for bones in Montana when he found the remains of a rare duckbill dinosaur.

It's one of only three such fossils ever unearthed.

The creature is estimated to have been about 39--feet long.

Tarner is discussing his find with the Smithsonian. They hope to remove the entire fossil next spring.
