It's part of a $14 million contract between the city and a Massachusetts-based technology company to upgrade O'Hare's parking infrastructure.
Travelers reserving and paying for parking online will be able to print a bar-coded ticket for use once they arrive at the airport.
The improvements are expected to take up to 18 months to complete.
