Community leaders in Indiana are warning that without state funding an Amtrak line to Chicago could be forced to shut down.

The Amtrak Hoosier State Line runs from Indianapolis all the way to Chicago's Union Station.

The community leaders called on Indiana Governor Mike Pence to provide the needed funds.

And they say without it federal funding will also stop next month.

In addition an Amtrak spokesman says without the Hoosier Line a locomotive repair facility that employs more than 5-hundred employees might also have to close.
