Daveed Lazard also offered to pay for the damages the bullets did to the victim's boyfriend's car.
Chicago police say the 18-year-old opened fire on a car that was sitting in the 1600-block of East 62nd Street. Inside were a 26-year-old woman and her boyfriend.
Lazard was arrested at Hyde Park High School where he is a student.
He told prosecutors he thought the victims were someone else.
