A number of representatives were on hand to reach out to those who do not have healthcare explain the importance and benefits of signing up for coverage and get them enrolled.
Since October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, some speakers, including a survivor, emphasized the importance of having insurance to afford the right medical care to battle the disease.
"There were many times that the appropriate medication was not given to me because my insurance did not cover it," she said.
Other speakers pointed out that people with insurance can then afford to go to the doctor each year and get mammograms to help with early detection.
