Mayor Rahm Emanuel to propose parking fine increases in 2014 budget

October 22, 2013 (CHICAGO)

Among them are several increases for parking violations. The fine for illegally parking on a residential street would go from $25 to $75. Parking in a disabled zone would go to $250. That's a $50 increase. And the fine for parking in a street cleaning zone would go up to $60.

The mayor also wants the amusement tax on cable companies to go from four percent to six percent, and higher fees for zoning applications on projects over 10,000 square feet.
