Passport kiosks for self-service coming to Chicago Midway Airport

October 29, 2013 (CHICAGO)

The airport is launching an automated passport control program, which is designed to move travelers more quickly through the U.S. border by entering their info at self-service kiosks.

The kiosks are expected to be installed early next year.

O'Hare Airport already uses the same technology, which contributed to a drop in wait times.

Chicago is the first city in the country to use the self-service passport kiosks technology.
