The Elmhurst American Legion is planning its fourth annual turkey testicle festival for November 16. The fundraiser features food, drink and live bands.
Proceeds support active military and retired veterans and raised money to send more than 100 packages overseas last year alone.
The group says a large, $600 banner proclaiming and advertising the festival was stolen between 9 p.m. Tuesday and 8 a.m. Wednesday.
Elmhurst police have filed a report. The banner was put up Saturday, and no one had yet taken a picture.
The American Legion is asking that the banner be returned - no questions asked.
