Frank Freund Sr. was shot to death during a robbery at the store back in March 2000. Styles Taylor and another man were convicted and sentenced to life in prison.
An appeals court overturned their convictions, but they were convicted again last year. Taylor's lawyer asked for 25 years in prison this time around citing his troubled childhood.
The judge did not grant that request.
