The Illinois Route 47 interchange meets with I-90 in Huntley, which is one of the fastest-growing communities in the Midwest.
A ribbon-cutting ceremony was held Friday afternoon to officially open the interchange.
It will help connect drivers to their destinations in Huntley, as well as Kane and McHenry counties.
This is the first green interchange on the tollway system with several environmentally-friendly features, including LED ramp lighting.
