McCarthy makes show of seized guns; Police Superintendent says Chicago on pace for fewest murders since 1965

Chicago is on pace to have the fewest murders since 1965.

That's what police Superintendent Garry McCarthy is saying Monday.

He showed of illegal guns the department has seized this year. So far this year alone police have recovered more than 6,300 illegal firearms.

He says that number highlights the challenge guns face to public safety.
