The passer-by picked up the frost-covered male kitten, now called "Frosty," and took her to the Friendship Animal Protective League. The kitten didn't move when it he was brought in, but started to meow once at the treatment room, according to ABC affiliate newsnet5.com.
Frosty was placed in a heating blanket, and is recovering at the animal shelter. He does not appear to have frostbite, but does have a bad cold that keeps him from opening his eyes.
An animal shelter spokesperson told newsnet5.com she is optimistic the kitten will be OK.
