Man questioned in barbershop shooting on South Side; Multiple gunshot wounds to man in Washington Heights

The 34-year-old man was shot about 2:45 a.m. when a male opened fire in a barbershop in the 9000 block of South Ashland Avenue, said police News Affairs Officer Amina Greer.

He was taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn with multiple gunshot wounds to the abdomen, legs and groin, Greer said. He was listed in grave condition.

Charges are pending against a man who police are questioning in connection to the shooting, police said.
