Police released a photo of a man wanted for robbing the First Merit Bank Branch on North Avenue in Elmhurst on Monday at 1 p.m. The FBI says the man implied he had a weapon but did not show one.
About three hours later, a man in similar clothing hit the First Merit Bank in Western Springs.
No one was hurt in either robbery.
The man is described as in his 40s, wearing a tan jacket and carrying a black bag.
