Evidence of French settlement discovered in St. Louis

Archaeologists in St. Louis clam they've made an astonishing discovery in a most unlikely place.

After digging under a highway overpass near a famous arch, researchers say they've uncovered evidence of a French settlement that dates back more than 250 years.

The team found the remains of a wood post, an earth-constructed house and dishes dating back to the 1740's.
