New fitness station opens along lakefront

CHICAGO (WLS) -- A new recreational space is now open to Chicago residents along the lakefront.

The Chicago Park District and community members cut the ribbon for the new Burnham Park Outdoor Fitness Station on 39th Street.

It features a rock wall, horizontal ladder, rope climbs and ring pulls. Those in attendance got a free workout demo.
