CHICAGO (WLS) -- An elderly couple found dead in their home in Chicago's Bunside neighborhood Saturday died of accidental carbon monoxide poisoning, authorities said.

Clemmie Jones, 76, and Nancy Jones, 77, did not show up for Thanksgiving dinner on Thursday.

Police found the couple dead in their home in the 8700-block of South Dorchester Saturday afternoon after family called for a well-being check.

Officials said the fatal intoxication was the result of a natural gas appliance exhaust and have ruled the deaths an accident.
