A person was arrested after a Chicago police chase in the city's West Englewood neighborhood.

CHICAGO (WLS) -- A person was arrested after a Chicago police chase in the city's West Englewood neighborhood.

Illinois State Police said the incident began shortly before 4 p.m. with a report of an armed carjacking at a Circle K gas station in south suburban Clifton.

State police found located the stolen truck going northbound on I-57 and tried to stop the car. The suspect fled, and state police gave chase.

Chopper 7 HD was live over the scene as Chicago police chased someone in a pickup truck through Chicago's South Side Tuesday afternoon.

The pursuit eventually crossed back into Chicago and ended at 71st Street and Hoyne in West Englewood.

State police said a 29-year-old man from Champaign was taken into custody without incident.

No further details have been released.
