Driver shot in face on Lake Shore Drive near Grant Park

CHICAGO (WLS) -- A man was critically wounded in a shooting early Friday morning on Lake Shore Drive near Grant Park.

Police found a 41-year-old man in the driver's seat of a white van in the northbound lanes of the drive around 1:25 a.m.

He had been shot in the face on Lake Shore Drive near East Monroe Street. The victim was rushed to Northwestern Memorial Hospital, where he is listed in critical condition.

No one is in custody.
