EVANSTON, Ill. (WLS) -- Police are investigating two overnight shootings that occurred in suburban Evanston.
In the first incident, which occurred around 12:45 a.m. Saturday, police found Albert E. Norman, 22, shot multiple times behind the wheel of a vehicle that had rolled into a tree in the 1900-block of Brown Avenue, officials said.
Norman was transported to Evanston Hospital where he was pronounced dead upon arrival, police said.
In the second incident, after hearing gunfire, police discovered a 50-year-old male shot multiple times in the leg, police said. The victim had been standing in front of a residence in the 1900-block of Dodge Avenue around 3:30 a.m. Saturday when he was shot, police said.
The victim was transported to Presence Saint Francis Hospital and is in stable condition, officials said.
No suspects are in custody and police are investigating whether the two incidents are related. Anyone with information is encouraged to call Evanston police.
