2 teens found fatally shot in Gary identified

GARY, Ind. (WLS) -- Two teens found fatally shot in a vehicle in Gary, Ind., were identified early Friday morning.

Police were called to the 700-block of East 49th Avenue around 8 p.m. Thursday. Officers found both victims dead in the vehicle. They had each been shot several times, police said.

The female victim was identified to the Lake County Coroner's Office as 18-year-old Koreen Ramos. The male victim was identified as 18-year-old Zantrell Collins. Their deaths were ruled homicides.

They both lived about three blocks from where they were found, in the 4900-block of Kentucky Street.
