Grant Park skateboard park to open Saturday

CHICAGO (WLS) -- The wait is almost over for a new attraction to open in Grant Park.

The city's new three-acre skateboard park will open to the public Saturday, located near Michigan Avenue and the 11th Street pedestrian bridge in Grant Park.

There will be a celebration including DJ's, contests and giveaways starting at 11 a.m.

The park isn't just for skate boarding; BMX bike riders, in-line skaters and other non-motorized wheels are also welcome.
