CHICAGO (WLS) -- Two Chicago police officers were honored more than 24 years after they were killed in the line of duty.

A street sign now identifies the corner of Nordica and Palmer on Chicago's Northwest Side as "Honorary Officers Hauser and Kilroy Drive."

In May 1990, Gregory Hauser and Raymond Kilroy were killed while investigating a domestic dispute.

Ald. Nicholas Sposato says the dedication was long overdue.
