The "Hamilton" #Ham4Ham lottery has given theatergoers a way to win $10 tickets to the hit musical for over a year, but a new app aims to make entering easier.
The "Hamilton" app will provide access to the lottery starting on Sunday and will operate by the same rules as the current online system. The lottery for each Chicago performance starts two days in advance at 11:00 a.m. and runs until 9:00 a.m. the next day. Winners will be alerted around 11 a.m. the day before the show and must purchase their tickets before 4 p.m. the same day.
The app, launched Aug. 11, gives its half-million users access to exclusive "Hamilton" content.
A new block of tickets will go on sale at 10 a.m. Tuesday.
