Police: Man fleeing from cops killed, 4 injured in East Garfield Park crash at Hamlin, Jackson

CHICAGO (WLS) -- A man fleeing from police died after crashing into four vehicles in the East Garfield Park neighborhood on Chicago's West Side, police said.

An off-duty officer saw a man pointing a gun at someone and when police responded, the man fled in his car, police said. He crashed into four vehicles at Jackson and Hamlin just after 1 p.m. Thursday, police said.

Police said the four people injured in the crash are in stable condition.
