Car catches fire after I-57 crash

CALUMET PARK, Ill. (WLS) -- A car crashed into a concrete median and burst into flames overnight on I-57 in south suburban Calumet Park.

The Calumet Park and Posen fire departments responded to the scene on inbound I-57 near 138th Street, they found the vehicle fully engulfed.

All lanes were shut down for short time, while crews extinguished the fire.

It is unclear whether the driver was injured. The cause of the crash is under investigation.
