Officer Jason Van Dyke indicted on 6 murder counts in Laquan McDonald shooting

CHICAGO (WLS) -- Chicago Police Officer Jason Van Dyke is now formally indicted for the shooting death of 17-year-old Laquan McDonald.

The indictment includes six counts of first degree murder and one count of official misconduct.

Van Dyke is free on bail. He's due back in court on Friday.
