Texas National Guard arrives in Chicago suburbs

Members of the Texas National Guard are at an Army Reserve Training Center in the far southwest suburbs, sources say.

ABC7 Chicago captured as members of the Texas National Guard arrive at training center in Chicago area on Tuesday.

Sources confirmed the Guard's arrival, and ABC7 Chicago got video confirmation on-site at the Elwood U.S. Army Reserve Center.

DHS says 67 arrested during anti-immigration enforcement protests

The Department of Homeland Security said Monday night that 67 people have been arrested over the last month during anti-immigration protests in the Chicago area.

Assistant Secretary for Public Affairs Tricia McLaughlin said some of those arrested were aggressive toward law enforcement.

Waukegan mayor steps in as feds detain woman outside City Hall

The mayor of Waukegan stepped in while federal agents detained a woman outside City Hall on Monday afternoon.

Video shows Mayor Sam Cunningham talking to federal agents.

Cunningham told ABC7 he saw the woman being cuffed, and then, she started calling his name.

Cunningham helped get her car towed while she was being detained.

ABC7 spoke with the woman's father. He says she is an American citizen and that she was charged with obstructing a federal investigation.

Federal authorities have not confirmed that.
