Man critically injured in West Garfield Park shooting, police say

A man was shot on Sunday morning on the city's West Side, police said.

The shooting happened around 4:30 a.m. in the 4700-block of Ohio Street in the West Garfield Park neighborhood.

A man, 25, was outside when he heard shots and then felt pain. He was shot in the back and was taken to the hospital. At last check he was in critical condition, according to Chicago police.

A second victim, a 26-year-old man, took himself to the hospital with a gunshot wound in the right leg. He was expected to be okay.

No one is in custody and Area Detectives are investigating.

Man shot, killed after West Town crash: CPD

A man was shot to death after a crash on the city's Northwest Side, according to Chicago police.

The shooting happened around 2 a.m. in the 1500-block of Magnolia Avenue on Sunday.

The driver of a red vehicle crashed into the victim's car, started shooting at the victim then ran away.

Chicago police found the victim outside of his vehicle with a gunshot wound to the right side of the chest.

He was taken to the hospital where he later died.

No one is in custody. Chicago police have did not release identities.

Toddler shot on SW Side, CPD says

A toddler was shot inside an apartment complex Saturday evening on the city's Southwest Side. The shooting happened around in the 2500 block of West 61st Street, Chicago police said.

The victim, a 2-year-old girl, was inside an apartment at the location when she was shot in the right leg by an unknown offender, police said. The girl is expected to survive after being taken to Comer Children's Hospital in good condition.

Investigators would not detail if there is a possible relationship between the alleged shooter and the girl, or if they're actively searching for a suspect.

A firearm was recovered at the scene, officials said. Area One detectives continue to investigate.

3 men shot in Garfield Park, CPD says

Three men were shot Saturday evening on the city's West Side.

The shooting happened around 5:26 p.m. in the 700 block of North Lawndale Avenue in Garfield Park, Chicago police said.

The victims, ages 34, 35 and 37, were standing on the sidewalk when they were shot by someone who was in a passing vehicle, police said. The three men were all taken to hospitals in good condition.

No one was in custody as police continue to investigate.
